Booking System & Shop Board — ski and snowboard tune shop, Arvada, Colorado
Nick’s Garage Tunes is a one-person ski and snowboard tune shop in Arvada, Colorado. The site replaced a Shopify store with a booking system built around how the shop actually runs: a customer picks services, a drop-off day and window, and, if the owner wants it, an exact arrival time inside that window.
The owner runs the day from an admin board on his phone. He moves each job through drop-off, ready and picked up, tracks payment, and sees what is booked and expected. Prices, hours, capacity and alert recipients are all his to edit, and changes reach the public site straight away. It is a working application rather than a brochure.

A small, dependable server app — no framework on the front end, one database file, one container.
One price engine serves both the public booking page and the owner’s board, and availability is computed on the server from live settings. The rules that decide which slots are offered are the same rules that re-check a booking when it is submitted, so a customer can never book a slot the board wouldn’t allow.
Everything a one-person shop needs to take bookings and run the day.
The decisions that keep a small business’s booking system correct on a busy Saturday.
The booking page, the confirmation email and the owner’s board all price an order through the same function, including merch variants and payment-method adjustments, so totals agree everywhere.
Capacity, cutoffs, special hours and blackout days are applied on the server before a slot is offered, and the same checks run again when the booking is submitted, so a window that filled while a customer was choosing is caught before it is overbooked.
Owner settings are validated and stored in the database. The running configuration reloads after each save, so a change to hours or prices reaches the public site immediately with no redeploy.
Each person signs in with their own account. Sessions are server-side with hashed tokens and sliding expiry, with sign out everywhere, login rate limiting, and an audit log of every change.
Consent to texts is recorded at the moment it is given, and inbound replies are accepted only with a verified secret, which keeps the shop on the right side of carrier rules.
An automated test suite runs before the image is built, and the site ships to a Docker and Caddy stack. The move from Shopify kept every old link working through redirects.
A complete small-business system, end to end, on a live site.
Nick’s Garage Tunes shows what a small service business gets from a system built around how it actually works: online booking, a board the owner runs from a phone, and settings he controls. If your business runs on appointments or drop-offs, let’s talk.
Customers book a ski or snowboard tune drop-off online, and the owner runs each job from drop-off to pickup on an admin board, with email and text notices.
